A Dedication to Serving the Community
Our Guild presently supports 4 Community Service sites: Truman Medical Center Newborn Nursery, Ozanam Residential Teen Center, Hillside Nursing home in Desoto, KS and Sunflower House.
Delivery to Truman Medical Center
In May, 2019, Pam Menze and Paula Neuer delivered 14 crib quilts, 14 flannel receiving blankets, and 45 crocheted hats done by Miriam Reed.

Community/Charity Quilts 2018 donations/ Paula Neuer, Charity Chair
Our guild has given away a total of 82 quilts with another 6 to be delivered for the current year. They were given to:
Truman Hospital 55 crib size quilts plus 10 baby afghans
Ozanam 17 twin size quilts
Hillside Nursing Home 7 lap size quilts
Sunflower House 3 large lap quilts to be used for their February auction
Thanks to all of the members who have contributed in any way to getting these quilts completed. It takes many hands and many hours to finish this many quilts but they are greatly appreciated by the various organizations that have received them!
Ozanam Home
Our Guild creates twin size quilts for this long-term residential home for teens with emotional, behavioral, or learning problems, and their families. With a bed capacity of 75, residents get to use and keep their quilt when they transition out of the home. Our Guild is committed to providing all residents with a beautiful quilt they will cherish for years to come. In September, 2018, 17 twin size quilts were delivered for the residents.
Truman Medical Center Nursery
The guild contributes baby quilts to the newborn nursery. They are dispensed to patients by the nursing staff. A total fo 55 crib size quilts plus 10 baby afghans were donated in 2018.
Additional Community Service
Our Guild is proud to have supported many other organizations throughout the Kansas City area, including:
Sunflower House - 3 quilts were donated in 2018 to be auctioned at their fundraising event.
Hillside Village Nursing Home - 7 adult lap quilts (30" x 36" wheel chair to sofa throw sizes) and 8 walker bags were donated in 2018.
